DEVELOPMENT & OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

WEILY GRINA-SHAY

Weily’s passion for serving the community through education brought her to Breakthrough Twin Cities. Before joining the team, Weily was the Executive Director (and clarinetist) of 10th Wave, a nonprofit classical music organization. This role not only ignited her passion for nonprofit work but also provided her with valuable experience in development, leadership, and community engagement.

Her work with the Learning Disabilities Association of Minnesota inspired her dedication to supporting educators and advocating for students. Weily is excited to use her unique experiences at Breakthrough, where she is committed to advancing educational equity and empowering students to reach their full potential.

In her spare time, Weily enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids, and their calico cat. After the kids are in bed, she loves reading, whether it’s fantasy, crime, or mystery genres. Weily also attempts to grow a vegetable garden every summer but still manages to destroy at least one crop due to questionable watering practices.
Weily is pronounced “Way-lee” and rhymes with “Daily”
